Driving Heaven

There’s nothing better than driving a performance car over some twisty asphalt B road, covering some serious mileage over decent landscapes. And after purchasing a car capable of higher-than-average-demands of road driving, the watching of other people doing road trips stopped, and the par-taking commenced.

It all started with a classic – not some small trip down to the local Co-op and back, or to Chav mile to compare metal (or plastic in some cases). No, we started with a biggy, a real biggy. A 3000 mile trip down into the bowels of Europe – across Germany, over the Alps and down to the Med.

This website is here just so we can note down our adventures as we go along. Who knows where the next trip will take us.

Summer ’08

Three cars. Three blokes. Three thousand miles. Nine days. Eleven countries. But how did this summer’s trip come about? It all started with a very casual conversation between two friends in early February which no-one really knew the outcome would be.

Clicking here will reveal what at first seemed far fetched for us, but thankfully turned into a reality.

Summer 2010

Well it finally happened. Exactly two years after the first, the urge to once again conquer the mystique of Europe’s highest roads was too big and three intrepid drivers set foot on another audacious adventure.

But this time was about being slightly more prepared, or so we thought. Where as previously we had allowed TomTom to make up the route between A and B (which therefore provided many ups and many downs), we sought to plan our roads a little better due to a slightly more compressed schedule.
